Jen Gray is the Director of Home Preservation at Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley. Her team administers low-income, local, state, and federal government-funded owner-occupied rehabilitation programs throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties. Individuals served via these programs are primarily seniors, the majority of whom are female, disabled, and living alone.
In her role at Habitat, Jen ensures programmatic excellence and consistent, high quality operational and financial management. She develops and secures funding for programs that advance Habitat’s mission while ensuring compliance with myriad policies, regulations, and requirements.
Jen has over 25 years of experience in private and nonprofit sectors. She brings a holistic perspective to her endeavors due to a diverse background in technology, sales and marketing, fundraising, and residential construction in addition to nonprofit management.
Jen’s passion for helping low-income seniors age in place arose when, despite being young and able-bodied, she struggled as a single female homeowner. Her empathy for the increased challenges faced by those aging, disabled, and on fixed incomes led Jen to Empowered Aging.
