Empowered Aging is in the process of recruiting additional board members from the communities we serve. Our team is a strong group of leaders who are committed to our mission, staff, and the people we serve. We are looking for dedicated and energetic strategic thinkers who are hands on, have a desire to help strengthen our organization, and want to contribute to our long term success. Our process for application will be:

  1. Complete and submit the application
  2. Confirmation that your request has been received
  3. Initial outreach from Executive Director and/or the Board President
  4. Meeting with Executive Director, and at least one other Board member
  5. Meeting with full board
  6. Attendance at next appropriate board meeting for vote of appointment
Some examples might include, but not be limited to, experience in fundraising, marketing, public affairs/public policy, legal/regulatory, financial, technical, direct service to the community we serve, strategic planning or program management skills.
Board members commit to approximately 4 -10 hours per month depending on committee assignments, projects, and events. Can you commit to this?
