Empowerment, Advocacy, Passion.
Meet the Force That’s Making a Difference for a Movement of Elder and Dependent Adults.
Empowered Aging is a regional non-profit organization serving seniors and their families in Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano Counties. We are responsible for protecting the rights and improving the quality of life for 29,000 residents in long-term care and more than 500,000 older adults throughout the region. Current programs include Long-Term Care Ombudsman, Elder Abuse, Health Career Pathway, and Elder Justice Lunch and Learn. Together as one, our team educates, defends, supports, and strives for change through legislative and systems work so that seniors can age with the dignity and respect they deserve today, but also so we all can age with the dignity and respect we deserve tomorrow.
Do you need a speaker to shed light on the issues facing our seniors? To unearth the driving force of elder advocacy and elder justice in our area? The Empowered Aging team has had the opportunity to speak at dozens of organizations and various media outlets throughout the greater Bay Area and country. We would love to contribute and empower your audience too. Sharing what we know fuels our passion to keep growing, giving, and fighting for our elders every single day. Please send us a message. We would love to discuss your needs and your event.
