Carolyn Briere is an accomplished professional with over 35 years of success in the healthcare field. Her last 27 years were spent in managerial roles at Kaiser Permanente where she focused on creating and executing business growth and human capital strategic initiatives, resulting in increased growth, improved processes, and enhanced performance.
For many of these years, Carolyn led a team of internal consultants who continually achieved strategy execution success for the Kaiser Permanente Sales & Account Management departments using a focused, disciplined and collaborative approach resulting in achievement of annual goal deliverables and business outcomes at target. The last 5 years, Carolyn worked as a Director in the National Accounts Military Health team where her team proudly partnered with the Military’s Defense Health Agency to offer a value-based health plan demonstration project to test the hypothesis that an integrated model results in higher levels of efficiency, effectiveness of care and beneficiary satisfaction.
Carolyn received her Bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and MBA from Cal State Northridge. Her passion is to care for people with health and social issues and spends her time actively participating in the Chemo Angel program, Saint Matthew Lutheran Church’s Care Ministry, and Compassion International. She has served on Saint Matthew’s church council, nominating committee, and growth initiative task force.
She loves to read, walk, take Pilates classes and spend time with family and friends. She is married with two sons and a dog.
