Mykel Horton is an Oakland native with over 6 years of experience in client-facing roles helping a wide range of individuals across the Bay Area. He has a passion for assisting those who have been overlooked due to circumstance, and he values having a strong sense of purpose.
Prior to working at Empowered Aging, Mykel worked in the dispatch center for a non-emergency ambulance company as well as remote monitoring for people with developmental disabilities. This cultivated his abilities to speak with a broad scope of people and honed the oriental arrow for his moral compass.
With this newly found role Mykel strives to make a noticeable impact right here in his own community. Outside of the Ombudsman role Mykel likes to drive in the mountain pass roads scattered across the Bay Area and attend gaming tournaments.
