Empowered Aging is proud to welcome and celebrate the talented students who make up this fall’s MSW Internship Program. This session brings together current interns continuing their placements, two returning interns who chose to extend their journey with us for a rare second year, and an incoming cohort joining us at the end of August.
As Internship Coordinator, Diane Healy puts it: “Empowered Aging’s reach has become national! I am so proud to be a part of the MSW Internship Program, which now hosts interns from all regions of the United States. Through the MSW online programs, Bay Area residents who are pursuing their MSW online can intern with Ombudsman Services and spread the word across the nation about Empowered Aging’s mission and goals. Since Ombudsman Services is a federally-mandated program and exists in all fifty states, the interns’ experiences and learning opportunities resonate with those occupying the same space in other parts of the nation.”
It’s rare for universities to approve a student returning to the same agency for a second year, so Empowered Aging is honored that these students requested to continue with us and that their universities agreed.
