Cindy Vanderlinde-Kopper is the Vice President for Strategic Business Development at Kaiser Permanente. Her team is responsible for inorganic growth and strategic partnerships across the organization. This work includes new geographic markets, new products and services and forming relationships with other successful healthcare, technology and retail organizations. Cindy joined Kaiser Permanente in February of 2018 after spending six years with PwC (Price Waterhouse Cooper) as a leader in their M&A and health care strategy teams. Her work with PwC involved advising clients engaged in various stages of mergers and acquisitions and other strategic relationships. Among those engagements was a project to help support Kaiser Permanente in its Group Health acquisition.
Cindy brings more than two decades of experience in the health care industry with private and public sector organizations including leading health plans, government agencies and integrated health care delivery systems. Prior to PwC, Cindy served as the Vice President, Strategic Transformation Projects at Resurrection Health in Illinois (which now is a part of Ascension and AMITA Health). In that capacity, she helped lead the divestiture of two hospitals. For some 17 years prior to joining Resurrection, Cindy worked for Booz Allen Hamilton ending as a Principal and Director of Business Development in its Global Health Team where she gained extensive payer and provider experience in strategy and operations.
Cindy received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in Chicago and is proficient in Italian from her junior year at the University of Florence (all coursework in Italian). Prior philanthropic work includes board membership on the Auxiliary Board at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago where she led a major fundraising event and other activities in the Walnut Creek community.
