Diane HealyInternship Program Coordinator - Supporting All Empowered Aging Communities

    Diane Healy has been a Long-Term Care Ombudsman since 2011. Before joining Empowered Aging, Diane worked as a social worker for San Mateo County, Aging and Adult Services. Diane is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology. She also holds a Master of Social Work degree from San Francisco State University.

    Diane continued her passion for the oversight of our MSW Internship program with Healthcare Career Pathway and is very passionate about continued education and establishing working relationships with three universities in California, specifically, UC Berkeley, Cal State University East Bay Humboldt State University. Diane hosted nine MSW interns over the past four years, including four 2nd year students and five 1st year students. Our MSW interns have represented diversity in race, ethnicity, age, gender, and gender identity.

    Diane is very proud of the students and looks forward to their success in entering the healthcare field. In her spare time, Diane enjoys traveling, going to the theater, and visiting her family in Chicago and Philadelphia.
