Latisha Trimble is an East Contra Costa County Native who brings over 15 years of advocacy experience to Empowered Aging.
In her role here at Empowered Aging, Latisha is responsible for addressing issues that negatively impact the lives of our long-term care residents through facility coverage and complaint investigations. In addition, she will ensure that all complaints received are reviewed appropriately and closed in a timely manner. She is also charged with acting as a witness in the execution of advanced health care directives in skilled nursing facilities and will provide backup support to other program staff members as needed.
Before her role here at Empowered Aging, Latisha was a Social Service Designee at Lone Tree Post Acute, a skilled nursing facility in Antioch. During her time there, she was in charge of coordinating comprehensive psychosocial care plans for residents while also acting as a point of contact for support and advocacy for residents and their families. Latisha worked to connect residents and their loved ones with community resources, assisted with financial and legal matters, ensured that all responsible parties were aware of their rights, and coordinated discharge planning for residents. In addition to her work as Social Service Designee, Latisha also served as the Activity Director and a CNA.
